Prof. Shahina tabassum is a scholar, researcher, translator, academician and a media person. With an experience of almost three decades, prof. Tabassum has published fifteen books in urdu and hindi. As a researcher, she has thirty-six articles to her credit, published in numerous national and international journals, and magazines. She has been a resource person to multiple academic events and workshops. Beginning in 1981 as a broadcaster on air, she has continued to make multiple appearances on the medium. Added to this is her contribution as a scriptwriter and anchor in tele infotainment and docu-series that were telecast on dd urdu. Prof. Tabassum has served on many selection committees and has been a jury member of awards- granting panel of sahitya akademy and ignou. She has also been awarded many prestigious awards by GoI and its affiliated institutions.
