Prof. Mohd. Naushad Alam is currently working as a Professor

in the Department of Urdu, Zakir Husain Delhi College Evening, University of Delhi. He join

Zakir Husain PG Evening College on September 10th , 2001 as a Guest Lecturer, October 18

th, 2001 to August 7th, 2005 as a Ad-hoc basis Lecturer and Permanent Lecturer on August

8th , 2005. Before joining Zakir Husain PG Evening College, He has been teaching as a Guest

Lecturer in the Department of Urdu, University of Delhi for the academic session

1999-2000, where he taught certificate course. His areasof specialization are Morden

Poetry, Fiction and Criticism. He completed his B. A. (Hons) Urdu, M. A. Urdu from Kirori

Mal College, University of Delhi and M. Phil and Ph.D. from Department of Urdu, University

of Delhi. The topic his reaseach work was "Akhtarul Iman Personality and Literary works."

A minor research project "A comprative study of progressive Urdu and Hindi poems"

was granted by Ministry of Culture, Government of India from 2002 to 2004. Which is

completed successfully. Prof. Mohd. Naushad Alam has been written a book "Adabi

Shanakht" (Collection of Articles) and two books are under publish. He has also translated a

book "Akse Ayena" Poetry of Riaz Umar former Principal Of Zakir Husain P. G. Evening

college. He has written almost 25th research article in different reputed magazines and

Journals.

In addition to his current position as a Professor in the Department of Urdu, Zakir

Husain Delhi college Evening, University of Delhi. He has carried multiple responsibilities of

the college, as Proctor, Dyp. Superintendent of examination, Liason officer of OBC, Nodal

officer of Anti Smoking, Anti Ragging committee members and scholarship committee etc.

Prof. Mohd. Naushad Alam received a few significant awards during his academic

career which includes Asif Ali Memorial scholarship, Hamdard Scholarship, College prize

third position in M. A. in DU and Delhi Urdu academy Award for his book "Adabi Shanakht"

on 2005 .
